The SUMON Residence is a bespoke residential project designed to ensure optimal structural integrity and aesthetic appeal. As the Structural Engineer, my role encompassed advanced modeling, precise structural design, and efficient planning to deliver a robust and compliant structure. This project stands as a testament to innovative engineering practices and meticulous attention to detail.

My Responsibilities

1. Structural Modeling and Analysis
•	Performed comprehensive structural modeling and analysis using ETABS to evaluate safety factors, load distribution, and structural stability.
•	Utilized simulation tools to identify potential structural challenges and applied effective solutions.

2. Structural Design
•	Designed all critical structural components, including:
o	Footings: Developed reinforced footing designs to transfer loads safely to the foundation.
o	Short Columns: Created column designs suitable for structural and architectural requirements.
o	Grade Beams: Ensured structural stability by interconnecting columns with properly reinforced grade beams.
o	Slabs: Designed slabs with precise load calculations to minimize deflection and ensure durability.
o	Floor Columns: Calculated reinforcement details to support vertical loads across all floors.
•	Delivered detailed structural drawings to guide the construction team effectively.
 

3. Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ)
•	Prepared an accurate BOQ to estimate material requirements and costs.
•	Drafted MOQ for efficient procurement planning and budget control.
   
4. Coordination and Execution
•	Worked closely with architects, contractors, and site engineers to integrate structural designs with architectural requirements.
•	Provided on-site support during critical construction phases to resolve structural concerns and ensure quality.
•	Conducted regular site inspections to monitor adherence to design standards and project timelines.

5. Quality Assurance and Problem Solving
•	Verified material quality to ensure alignment with the BOQ and project specifications.
•	Addressed and resolved on-site challenges promptly, minimizing delays and maintaining structural integrity.
