Professional Journey in Civil Engineering

I began my professional journey in October 2021 at Openhouse Architects & Engineers as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, working across building design, interior design, and construction projects. This multidisciplinary environment allowed me to develop practical depth in structural design under the Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC), quantity surveying, and client coordination. Alongside my full-time role, I completed professional development courses and offered freelance structural engineering services in my native region, taking early responsibility for real projects and community clients.

Being from the Bishnupriya Manipuri community, I have always felt a deep connection between engineering and cultural responsibility. In this spirit, I became a founding member of MAATRA Architects & Engineers — a community-focused design collective. Our team has delivered over 40 completed projects, of which I structurally designed and supervised construction for nearly 10 projects, including temples, mondops, and traditional Inchao houses — almost entirely non-profit work serving our community and preserving indigenous building knowledge.

In February 2026, I joined Property Development Ltd (PDL), PRAN-RFL Group as Assistant Manager – Tender Department, stepping into a larger, commercially driven project environment. Here I work on high-value industrial and institutional construction works, managing procurement across the Bangladesh e-GP platform, UNDP Quantum ERP, and private sector channels, while supporting FIDIC-aligned contract administration, BOQ preparation, cost and schedule planning, quality control, and multi-site coordination. This role has brought together all dimensions of my earlier experience — structural knowledge, cost engineering, documentation discipline, and stakeholder coordination — into an integrated construction project management practice.

Looking Ahead I am committed to advancing my expertise in Building Information Modelling (BIM), digital procurement systems, and integrated project controls. I am actively working towards my Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and the PMI Construction Professional (PMI-CP) credential, having accumulated over 113 CPD and PDU hours to date. My goal is to combine technical rigour, digital innovation, and community-centred design into a construction leadership practice that contributes meaningfully to Bangladesh's built environment.
