14-Storied Residential Building


The 14-storied residential building in Dinajpur, commissioned by Aftab Shaheb & Gong, is a modern high-rise project designed to provide safe, durable, and aesthetically refined living spaces. This project required advanced engineering solutions to ensure structural stability, seismic resilience, and functional efficiency while maintaining architectural elegance. As the Assistant Structural Engineer, I played a key role in designing and implementing structural solutions for this multi-story residence.
Structural Modeling and Analysis • Conducted detailed structural modeling and analysis using ETABS to ensure the stability of a high-rise structure. • Evaluated load distribution, stress factors, wind and seismic forces, and lateral stability for optimal performance. Structural Design • Designed essential structural components, including: Footings: Engineered reinforced footings to efficiently support the building’s vertical and lateral loads. Columns & Core Walls: Developed reinforced columns and shear walls to ensure optimal load transfer and high-rise stability. Beams & Slabs: Designed reinforced concrete beams and slabs to control deflection and enhance structural strength. Grade Beams and Retaining Structures: Integrated for improved stability and foundation performance. • Prepared comprehensive structural drawings aligned with architectural and functional specifications. Plumbing and Structural Integration • Drafted plumbing layouts in coordination with the structural framework, ensuring efficient space utilization and integration with high-rise systems. Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ) • Developed accurate BOQ and MOQ for cost estimation and material procurement planning for a multi-story building. • Ensured all material specifications met project requirements, high-rise standards, and budget constraints. Coordination and Quality Assurance • Collaborated with architects, contractors, and site engineers to maintain construction accuracy. • Conducted routine site inspections to oversee construction progress and adherence to structural guidelines. • Supervised material quality and construction practices to uphold high-rise engineering standards.
