My responsibilities:
• MEP Drafting:Developed detailed MEP drawings usingAutoCAD, ensuring accuracy and alignment with architectural and structural plans. • Cost Estimation:Prepared comprehensive cost estimates for MEP components, helping maintain budgetary control while ensuring quality standards. • Design Coordination:Collaborated with architects and engineers to integrate MEP systems seamlessly with the building's design and layout. • Code Compliance:Ensured all MEP designs adhered to national and international standards, regulations, and safety codes. • Material Specification:Assisted in selecting appropriate materials and equipment for the MEP systems to ensure durability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Additional Contributions: • Reviewed and updated MEP plans to accommodate design changes or address project-specific requirements. • Conducted site visits to verify the accuracy of installations and ensure alignment with approved designs. • Documented project progress, including calculations, drawings, and revisions, for record-keeping and future reference. • Collaborated with the construction team to resolve on-site challenges related to MEP systems. • Supported the development of working drawings and installation guides for contractors. This role allowed me to hone my technical skills in MEP drafting and cost estimation while contributing to a high-quality residential development in one of Dhaka’s premier neighborhoods. It was a rewarding experience to be part of a team dedicated to delivering efficient and sustainable solutions.
