MINGAL is a traditional Manipuri band dedicated to preserving and promoting our cultural heritage through music. We compose and perform songs in the Manipuri language, creating modern renditions of traditional melodies while also crafting original compositions. Our goal is to represent and share our rich cultural identity with society through our music.

Musical Genre

MINGAL primarily explores the rock genre, infusing its powerful and dynamic energy into our music. While staying true to our Manipuri roots, we blend traditional elements with rock influences, creating a unique sound that resonates with both modern and cultural expressions. Our music bridges the past and present, offering a fresh take on Manipuri musical heritage.

My Role

In MINGAL, I primarily play bass, providing the rhythmic and harmonic foundation of our music. However, depending on the needs of a song, I also contribute by playing manipuri traditional mridanga, flute, and keyboard, adding depth and versatility to our sound.
